MLB: NY Mets (Dickey at Houston (Myers) Under 7:00 PM EST

The Mets RA Dickey is making a great case for comeback player of the year. The ligamentless knuckleballer has carried the Mets on his back this summer coming from nowhere to post 8-5 record with a 2.43 ERA and should have more wins in the bank with any type of run supports and a little help from his friends in the pen. Bret Myers (8-7, 3.13) has been super on a rotten Astros club all year and has arguably been the best starter in baseball this summer. Rewarded with sweet deal last month, he continues to pitch great. With these offenses, the first one to three wins here. Play the Under.

MLB: San Francisco (Cain) at Houston (W Rod) over 7 2:05 PM EST

Prefer a little extra juice with the seven here, you don’t pay juice when you win anyway. The Giants Matt Cain is razor sharp but not the luckist guy in the world and just 1-2 with a 3.90 LT ERA vs the Astros. Wandy Rodriguez is throwning batting practice at 0-3 with a 10.20 ERA in his L3. WRod has 8.36 LT ERA against the Giants in limited opportunities and could give this number up by himself. Plays Giants/Asros Over the total.

*** 22-6 MLB run and topping the Leaderboard *** the Mack Attack is white hot in the MLB with seven straight winning days. Tonight’s Power Pack feature three late show lay downs and includes 500* Play of the Day. The Money Train leaves early and you have a 1st Class Gauarnteed ticket. BE THERE!

MLB: Under 8.5 Cubs (Zambrano) at Milwaukee (Wolf) 8:00 PM

Carlos Zambrano made his first start for the Cubs since April 20th and was OK allowing three runs over 4 2/3 innings. Big Z should stretch it out some here. Soriano is doubtful and Aramis Ramirez is on the shelf leaving Blue Bears with little to no pop. ChiCubs are 18-8 under on the road, 19-6 under at night, and 12-4 low off southpaws. Randy Wolf was 2-0 in 2009 vs Cubs allowing just two earned on eight hits in 14+ innings work. Barring total meltodown by pens, this should one should come nowhere near the posted total. Play Under.

The Mack Attack cashed his MLB Play of the Day with the Twins, never-in-doubt after touching up Royals for three-spot in the first. MLB: Under 8.5 Detroit (Galarraga) at WSox (Floyd) 8:00 PM

Armando Galaragga is 2-1 with a 2.87 ERA that in all reality is skewed by one bad start at the Dodgers. Comes off “Perfect Game” one-hitter in his last, he’s seemingly unflappable and handled the situation better than anyone could in that situation. Pale Hose starter Gavin Floyd is 2-6 with a 6.64 ERA but he’s owned the Twins with a 5-0 LT mark in 12 starts and the last meeting in the Cell, Floyd pitched eight innings of four hit, one run ball, choking out the Twinkies. Side dicey at best and wouldn’t want either side but the low rates a look here in a game where runs could be tough to come by. Play the Under.

Fresh of his Finals Game of the Year winner on the Celtics in Game II, the Mack Attack has your back with another slam dunk winner in Game III. MLB: Pittsburg (Maholm) -108 San Fran (Wellemeyer) 7:00 EST

I know that it’s hard to even get the words out of your mouth but you almost always have shot backing Paul Maholm at home against anybody. In fact, July 17th of last year, Maholm stepped on this same rubber and beat Tim Lincecum 2-1 giving up just one run on only four hits with a sweet 0/7 BB/K ratio. All he has to beat today is Todd Wellemeyer who is 4-2 LT versus the Bucs but with an ERA of close to 5.00 Last time Wellemeyer was at PNC, the homies smoked him for seven runs on 9 hits in four and change of 7-1 loss. Hold your nose with Pitt and breath through your mouth until you cash your ticket.

MLB: Nats (Martin) -122 over Astros (Moehler)

JD Martin and Brian Moehler both made their 2010 debuts in their last starts but thats where any similarity ends. The Nats Martin lost his start 4-2 to the Padres allowing just one earned run on only four hits in six and a tick innings of work. Houston blew the dust of Brian “Fuzzy” Moehler who was promptly spanked by the Reds for eight earned runs on ten hits while getting just eight outs. Three of the ten hits were dingers and Fuzzy rocks a 26.97 ERA into his second start tonight. The Nasty Nats have been resilient off a loss going 17-9 and face an 11-19 home team giving less than a quarter. If starters reprise last weeks form, Washington is your winner before dinner.

MLB: Mets (Santana) at San Diego (Richard) under 6.5

Since getting pounded by the Phillies for ten runs in that Sunday Night ESPN debacle, Johan Santana has an ERA of 1.21 in four starts. He’s given up just four earned runs on just 14 hits in his L23 2/3 innings works to some pretty mashing lineups in the Braves, Yanks, and Brewers. Clayton Richard is 3-1 and 2.57 in his L4 outings and we all know that Petco is a graveyard for hitters. Neither of these lineups will make you think of the ‘27 Yankees with runs at a premium and making UNDER the play.

DMack not real happy about last night’s Twin/Mariners under Push but bases still rock profitable 9-4 run over the last week. The Mack Attack comes hard in night action with his AL Total of the Week. Looking for a game to bet whatever you want to win ??? This is it!

MLB: Play the Angels (Santana) at Kansas City (Hocevar) under 8

In the past, the Angels Earvin Santana was pretty much road fodder and no matter how good the Halos were, he was an automatic go against in the blind with suitcase. Not now. Santana is rock solid 4-3 with a 3.63 ERA, 3.06 in his five road starts. Luke Hocevar is finally living up to his high draft status for the Royals and rocks 3.53 ERA at Kaufman Field. The series has been to the low (11-5 L16) and with Torii Hunter dinged and Morales out for the Angels, both teams will be without much pop. Runs figure to be tough to come by and the Under looks like the way to go.

Indianapolis 500: Take Helio Castroneves at 5/2

No brain surgery here as Castroneves was much the best in qualifying and has the pole in a race where only five cars  have legitimate shots to win. This would be Spiderman’s fourth win after winning first two tries in 2001-2002 and then last year putting him in the rare air Al Unser, AJ Foyt, and Rick Mears. Team Penske has been so dominant that to get the #3 at 5/2 or 2-1 would be a huge overlay as only an accident, unforseen, mechanical problems, or tear gas can keep this guy from getting to the checkered flag first. If this was paramutual, he’d be 2-5. Get your ticket, pick up a six-pack, sit by the pool and double your money before the charcoal is ready for the brats, steak, and chicken. Don’t forget to thank a vet.

Anaheim (Pineiro) -138 over Toronto (Morrow) 7:10 PM EST

It’s tough going against the Jays on the road as they’ve played so well to this point but this is top spot at great price with the Angels. Brandon Morrow gets the call for Toronto but he’s just 1-2 with a 9.00 ERA in his last four starts. Halos plenty familiar with him from his time in Seattle. Anaheim counters with Joel Pineiro who was lit in last at St Louis but is 3-1 and 1.77 in starts at Edison Field. Just 50/50 this year but 78-35 over time in day games, Angels worth a look at 35 cents.
