MLB: Under 8.5 Detroit (Galarraga) at WSox (Floyd) 8:00 PM
Armando Galaragga is 2-1 with a 2.87 ERA that in all reality is skewed by one bad start at the Dodgers. Comes off “Perfect Game” one-hitter in his last, he’s seemingly unflappable and handled the situation better than anyone could in that situation. Pale Hose starter Gavin Floyd is 2-6 with a 6.64 ERA but he’s owned the Twins with a 5-0 LT mark in 12 starts and the last meeting in the Cell, Floyd pitched eight innings of four hit, one run ball, choking out the Twinkies. Side dicey at best and wouldn’t want either side but the low rates a look here in a game where runs could be tough to come by. Play the Under.

Vanderbilt has pretty much owned its series with South Carolina winning six of the last seven and three of the last four at Colonial Life Arena. The Commodores have shown some road spunk winning at St Marys(Ca)and Bama while the Gamecocks, despite having won three straight, are just 5-14 as a home dog of three points or less. Big tough Vandy front court the difference here. Vanderbilt 75-67.
This years edition of the Huskies are quite simply just not as good as recent past editions. Stanley Robinson and Dyson are nice players but just that, nice players. Pitt lost four starters but haven’t missed a beat opening Big East play 3-0 including wins AT Syracuse and Cincinnati. Pitt has won three of four in the series and have split the last eight games at UConn. In the wins over Orange and Bearcats, Panthers managed 29 more trips to the foul line which means they attack in the paint. Too many reasons not to grab 6+ points with Pitt, take the Panthers.

Take SMU -7.5 over UTEP: After winning just one game last year, June Jones has the 5-4 Mustangs in a position to get Bowl eligible. Hard to figure the Miners who beat Tulsa and Houston at home but are just 1-3 SU and ATS on the road with losses at Memphis and Tulane. Couldn’t find a worse spot in second of three roadies. Swallow hard knowing SMU is 0-6 L6 as a fave and rushes for less than 100 ypg but … the Miners give up a whopping 467 (211/256) ypg and 144 points in their last three road games. Last week, SMU took a half to get going against Rice. Razor sharp Mustangs roll 45-24.
DMack doesn’t quit but it’s getting pretty close to putting a fork in this year’s Hilton Contest. A brutal 1-4 last week puts the Mack Attack at just .500 with just 40 picks left to be made. Cody Lubisky has stretched out his lead to two full games at an amazing 29-11. Eddie Money is two back at 27-13. The consensus went 2-3 last week and sits at 20-21 for the year. This weeks top consensus plays are Houston (125), Carolina (107), Arizona (100), Philadelphia (86), and Baltimore (78).
DMack looks to get healthy with the Texans, Packers, Pats, Saints, and Giants. Wish us luck!

Take the Carolina Hurricanes and Florida Panthers over 5.5 goals. Not interested in the side here as the Canes are 16-5 over the L21 in the series but has lost L9 including getting outscored 16-4 in L3. Florida has won two straight putting the biscuit in the basket ten times. Florida on four straight overs with three plus days rest and looking for revenge for 7-2 thumping administered by Canes back on October 9th. Play the Over.
