MLB: Under 8.5 Cubs (Zambrano) at Milwaukee (Wolf) 8:00 PM
Carlos Zambrano made his first start for the Cubs since April 20th and was OK allowing three runs over 4 2/3 innings. Big Z should stretch it out some here. Soriano is doubtful and Aramis Ramirez is on the shelf leaving Blue Bears with little to no pop. ChiCubs are 18-8 under on the road, 19-6 under at night, and 12-4 low off southpaws. Randy Wolf was 2-0 in 2009 vs Cubs allowing just two earned on eight hits in 14+ innings work. Barring total meltodown by pens, this should one should come nowhere near the posted total. Play Under.
The Mack Attack cashed his MLB Play of the Day with the Twins, never-in-doubt after touching up Royals for three-spot in the first. DMack has your back with his National League Total of the Month, an under-the-radar gimme that’s as good as a Cashiers Checque. It’s this easy … just pick, click, cash !!!

MLB: Nats (Martin) -122 over Astros (Moehler)
JD Martin and Brian Moehler both made their 2010 debuts in their last starts but thats where any similarity ends. The Nats Martin lost his start 4-2 to the Padres allowing just one earned run on only four hits in six and a tick innings of work. Houston blew the dust of Brian “Fuzzy” Moehler who was promptly spanked by the Reds for eight earned runs on ten hits while getting just eight outs. Three of the ten hits were dingers and Fuzzy rocks a 26.97 ERA into his second start tonight. The Nasty Nats have been resilient off a loss going 17-9 and face an 11-19 home team giving less than a quarter. If starters reprise last weeks form, Washington is your winner before dinner.

MLB: Pittsburg (Karstens) +122 over Cubs (Lilly)
The Cubs are a train wreck, thanks in the most part to their 8-18 record against teams with losing records. Add the Blue Bears 2.4 rpg and .222 BA over the past seven days and we see why Pittsburg is a VERY live dog. Ted Lilly not getting much support since he’s been back, 1-4 with a 3.63 ERA. The Bucs Jeff Karstens, like Russ Ohlendorf yesterday, is ex-Yankee prospect that’s a different animal on home mound. Comes of six shutout (three-hit) innings vs. the Cards and has always had a modicum of success facing Chitown. Pittsburg already 6-1 against the Cubs this year!

Anaheim (Pineiro) -138 over Toronto (Morrow) 7:10 PM EST
It’s tough going against the Jays on the road as they’ve played so well to this point but this is top spot at great price with the Angels. Brandon Morrow gets the call for Toronto but he’s just 1-2 with a 9.00 ERA in his last four starts. Halos plenty familiar with him from his time in Seattle. Anaheim counters with Joel Pineiro who was lit in last at St Louis but is 3-1 and 1.77 in starts at Edison Field. Just 50/50 this year but 78-35 over time in day games, Angels worth a look at 35 cents.
The Mack Attack cashed Tuesday’s Play of the Day with the Marlins and twists the knife Wednesday with his American League Total of the Month. This High/Low is a must have for all serious players, get down on it in all your exotics. Extended analysis explains why you have a date with the cashier later on.

Arizona (Kennedy) +126 over Colorado (Chacin) 8:40 PM EST
Ian Kennedy was the odd man to Phil Hughes in the battle of Yankee pitching prospects but has seemingly found a home with the Snakes. Kennedy rocks 2-1 W/L and 1.93 ERA over his L4 starts and vultured a win by the “arson squad”, the Arizona bullpen. Jhouls Chacin has been good in his five starts but in his only start at Coors Field, was beat about the head by the Nasty Nats. Arizona has had success in the series (25-14) and at Coor Field 12-9. Thinking Arizona could be a very live dog here. Take the Snakes.
The Mack Attack now 9-3 after last night’s never-in-doubt winner on the Over … C’mon … lighten up. Nothing left to chance on tonight’s Lakers/Suns Game IV slam dunk that you can Watch and Win on TNT. You WILL cash your ticket or you play on Wednesday on DMack. Just pick click and cash!

Under 8 Angels (Pineiro) at St Louis (Penny) 8:00 PM EST
Joel Pineiro has found his form and is really dealing with an 0.83 ERA in his last three. The Halo righty threw a complete game four-hit shutout in his last start and a recent ex-Cardinal who should be jacked for this start. Brad Penny deserves better than his 3-4 record while rocking a 2.73 ERA over his eight starts. He’s 1-2 and a filthy 1.35 at the new Busch. These are two punch and judy lineups and neither is hitting. Play the Under.

Wednesday, September 23rd, 2009
The Mack Attack Free Play for Wednesday, September 23, 2009: Take the Minnesota (Duesing) +108 over ChiSox (Buehrle). The Sox have mailed it in losing seven of nine. The worst thing that ever happened to Mark Buehrle was his perfect game, he’s 1-6 in 11 starts since. The Twins may have regrouped a bit too late but have climbed to within three games of the Tigers, all without Morneau and Crede. Today’s Minny starter, Brian Duensing, is 4-0 with a 1.70 ERA and blanked Pale Hose seven innings just 21-days ago. Twins continue to apply heat.
